The guides on this site assume you can work out which part applies to you. This doesn't. Tell it what's wrong in your own words and it runs a proper elimination — one test at a time, cheapest first, commands filled in for your own setup, keeping a visible record of what's been proven and what's been ruled out.

Before you start
- A terminal, and willingness to paste a command into it
- Ten to thirty minutes, depending on how awkward the fault is
- Ideally a second machine on the network — a lot of tests need one at each end
- Access to your router's admin page for some checks
- Nothing else — if a step doesn't make sense or won't run on your device, just say so and it'll work around it

Nothing you type is stored. The conversation lives in your browser tab and is gone when you close or refresh it — there is no account, no login, and no record kept of your network, your addresses or your test output.
What is recorded is a line of bookkeeping per step: which guide was being followed, how many steps a diagnosis took, whether it reached an answer, and what it cost to run. That's how I find out whether the thing works. It contains nothing about you or your network. If you use the feedback buttons at the end, the comment you write is kept too — that's rather the point of it.
